Internetworking Designs offers software development services primarily for systems using real-time operating systems and often in conjunction with doing a hardware design. Our extensive experience in the networking and telecommunication businesses and our extensive hardware experience make us ideally suited for software design tasks such as:
- Porting an operating system, protocol stack or other application to a new hardware configuration
- Create an RTOS device driver for a new hardware interface
- Adding an application to gather MIB statistics for a hardware interface
- Restructuring a protocol stack or application to make better use of available hardware. For example, splitting a stack to use processors on peripheral boards to do the low-level processing
- Porting an application designed for a different OS to an existing system
Software designs have been done for systems using round-robin schedulers, interrupt-driven OSs and task-oriented OSs. Programming has been in both inline c and object-oiriented c++.
